Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy

A time-limited structure therapy draws psycho-dynamic ideas to help individuals make links between their moods and what is happening in their relationships.

DIT is a time-limited, structured form of psychotherapy that is typically given over 16 weekly sessions. It identifies a fundamental, recurring pattern of relating that can be traced back to childhood to help you understand the relationship between your current symptoms and what is happening in your relationships.

This pattern, once identified, will be used to make sense of current relationship difficulties that may contribute to psychological stress.

Your therapist will encourage you to think about what you are thinking and feeling, which will improve your ability to deal with current interpersonal issues. It aims to alleviate your distress symptoms while improving your interpersonal functioning and capacity to understand yourself and others.
