Systemic Therapy

Systemic therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the connections between a person's relationships, behavioural patterns, life decisions and the problems they encounter.

People of any age, including children, can benefit from systemic therapy. Depending on what it is, it could take a few sessions or years to solve a problem. It is especially helpful when emotions are suppressed or denied out of concern for coming across as self-centred or harming other people. It offers a safe environment where people can discuss sensitive or difficult personal topics without fear of retaliation. Furthermore, it can shed light on aspects of relationships that other types of counselling or therapy may find difficult to address. Systemic therapy focuses on the group's interactions and relationships to address any issues and help the group move forward.
